Pen Runs Out of Ink for ASMO Writer/Editor
After five and a half years and more than 1,000 articles, Jonathan "JMac" McVerry is ending his tenure as the writer/editor for ASMO. He joins Penn State's Social Science Research Institute as its new Communications Manager. It was a good run. JMac enjoyed meeting hundreds of Penn State employees over the years and hearing their stories. There is more to the organization than most people realize and he especially enjoyed learning about all of the angles of the operation. It was an honor working with ASMO's great creative team and JMac wishes everyone good luck and great ideas in the future.
Look at What the Winter Winds Blew In
Meet Allie Wilson, the new marketing and communications intern for the 2013 spring semester. Allie is a junior double majoring in Advertising and Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management. She is involved in the Italian Student Society, and is the secretary for the American Hotel and Lodging Association. In her free time, Allie enjoys baking, specifically chocolate chip cookies, and traveling.
New Intern Finds His Way to ASMO
Mike Hricik joins the Marketing Office as its writing/editing intern for spring 2013. He will be writing press releases, promotional materials, web content, video scripts, and more. Mike is a senior majoring in print journalism who also works at The Daily Collegian. He is a Mt. Pleasant, PA native who hopes to graduate this year and (fingers crossed) find a job in online journalism or public relations. In his spare time, Mike plays guitar, bass, and keyboard.
