2009 A&BS Spring Conference

Over 300 Auxiliary & Business Services employees attended the 2009 A&BS Spring Conference. The daylong event featured talks from Penn State leadership, informational sessions and tours, lunch, and a dessert extravaganza.

This year's conference was held at University Park on the arena floor of the Bryce Jordan Center. This year's theme was "Thinking Differently," and focused on changing environmental, financial, and daily routines.

Aside from breakout sessions, this year's conference included several tours of University Park sites. Lisa Brown, Penn State Center for Sustainability's associate director, leads a tour of the MorningStar, a completely sustainable house located by the Visitor's Center.

Conducted by BJC Staff Assistant Deb Fohringer, A&BSers enjoy a tour of the 15,000-seat arena. The tour visited the backstage area, as well as the arena's VIP rooms and basketball training rooms.

About 25 conference attendees travel across campus to tour the brand new Lewis Katz Law Building, located at the north end of the University Park Campus.
